Dental assistant
Job Description Overview: We are a small family business focused on quality dental care, seeking an enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team for the next 10-20 years.
Clinical Duties: Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms in accordance with infection prevention protocols. Provide efficient chairside support for procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Maintain clinical cleanliness and aseptic techniques.
Patient Care: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient flow, record vital signs, and update medical records. Ensure a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable.
Administrative Duties: Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and verifying insurance information. Maintain compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA guidelines.
part-time $25 - $30 per hour

Requirements Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Systems: Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records
Skills: Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology; skilled in X-ray techniques including 3D scanners; knowledgeable in infection prevention and sterilization procedures
Clinical: Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups
Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
