Events Marketing Manager Job at RTA: The Fleet Success Company, United States

  • RTA: The Fleet Success Company
  • United States

Job Description

Event Marketing Manager

Do you have a knack for creating engaging experiences that capture attention and create impactful moments for attendees? Do you believe what you do before and after an event is just as critical as the event itself? Do you love seeing the impact your events have on revenue and the sales pipeline? Are you a stickler for staying within budget and prioritizing your resources? Do you love to travel and see places across the country? If so, keep reading...

The Marketing team at RTA is looking for an Event Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, this individual contributor will own the strategy, planning, execution, and performance of RTA's event and webinar programs. This person will help RTA grow through a well-executed event strategy that strengthens our brand presence, creates memorable experiences, elevates our thought leadership, and generates measurable business results.

The right team member understands that planning and execution both matter. A beautiful event that does not produce results is not enough, and a great strategy that falls apart onsite is not enough either. You'll own the full event lifecycle - choosing the right opportunities, building the plan and budget, coordinating all the moving pieces, creating an exceptional attendee experience, capturing and handing off leads, and measuring what happened afterward.

Does this sound like your groove? Apply!

  • Feels at home as a member of a healthy team and is comfortable with accountability, candid collaboration, and constructive debate.
  • Fully embraces team health and the principles behind eliminating the '5 Dysfunctions of a Team' (Patrick Lencioni).
  • Will passionately care about our clients and the jobs they do. Our clients are government and trucking fleet managers, parts clerks, automotive technicians, and other fleet professionals who keep everything from squad cars and school buses to ambulances and public transportation safely moving.

  • Understands the power and impact of their words and actions.

  • Loves to read, learn, grow, and stretch themselves. Extra points if you've read Obviously Awesome, They Ask, You Answer, or anything from Seth Godin or Patrick Lencioni.
  • Embraces AI as a tool to work smarter and move faster - using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar technology to improve research, planning, project management, content development, reporting, analysis, and everyday workflows while bringing the human judgment and creativity that make an experience memorable.

Specifically for this job, someone who:

  • Can run a webinar end-to-end, from topic and speakers through registration, rehearsals, execution, and lead follow-up.
  • Loves a good project plan and knows how to get multiple stakeholders moving in the same direction.
  • Thrives in the meet-and-greet. Networking is almost a pastime.
  • Gets creative about maximizing an event budget and is meticulous about tracking expenditures.

  • Advocates for thought leadership and knows how to get the right people on stage.
  • Has hands-on experience with Zoom, HubSpot, and Cvent.
  • Is willing and able to travel approximately 40%, including occasional nights and weekends.

Fleet or public-sector experience is not required. What matters is that you know how to create exceptional experiences, manage the details, and show us the results.
